Samdruptse Hill is a prominent religious and tourist attraction located near the town of Namchi in the Sikkim. It is known for its towering statue of Guru Padmasambhava, also known as Guru Rinpoche, who is a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism. Guru Padmasambhava is considered a highly significant figure in Tibetan Buddhism. He is believed to be a master of tantra and a spiritual teacher who played a crucial role in spreading Buddhism in Tibet and the Himalayan region. "Samdruptse" translates to "Wish Fulfilling Hill." The hill is believed to have been named after the blessings and wishes that are fulfilled by visiting the site and paying homage to Guru Padmasambhava.
