Yumthang Valley situated at 3564m (11693ft), often referred to as the "Valley of Flowers," is a picturesque and enchanting valley located in the North Sikkim which is 22km away from Lachung town and takes 1 hour to reach valley. This valley is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, vibrant floral displays, tranquil ambiance and is also the home of Shingba Rhododendron(Guras) Sanctuary, the state flower. A tributary of the River Teesta flows pass the Yumthang Valley and the town of Lachung.
