Daywise Tour Plan - 7 Nights and 8 Days

DAY – 1

Bagdogra Airport/NJP Railway Station to Gangtok 125 kms 4 hours drive approx.

Pickup from Bagdogra Airport/ NJP Railway Station in West Bengal. Begin your scenic 4-hours drive to Gagntok, the capital of Sikkim. Enjoy the beautiful views of winding roads, river valleys, and forested hills along the way. Stop en route for lunch at local restaurant or viewpoint cafe before continuing your journey. Arrive in Gangtok by evening and check in at the hotel. Overnight staay in Gangtok

DAY – 1

Exursion to Tshomgo (Changu) Lake & New Baba Mandir

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day exursion to Tshomgo Lake (35km) and New Baba Harbhajan Sinh Mandir (52km) Enjoy  a scenic 2 – hour  drive through winding mountain roads surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Optional visits include Nathula Pass (Indo-China Border) and Tukla Old Baba Mandir, subject to permit availability and weather conditions. Return to Gangtok by evening. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

DAY – 3

Lachen – North Sikkim (127km), 5 hours drive

After breakfast, drive towards Lachung, enjoying the breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, cascading waterfalls, and lush valleys along the way. Stop for sightseeing in different places. Overnight stay in Lachen.

DAY – 3
Day – 4

Lachen-Gurudongmar Lake (65 km), 3 hour drive

Early in the morning, after breakfast, proceed for an adventurous drive to Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft) — one of India’s highest and most stunning lakes. The journey offers breathtaking views of rugged mountains, icy valleys, and snow-draped peaks. Experience the thrill of high-altitude travel as you pass through scenic landscapes. Optional stops at Kala Patthar and Chopta Valley add to the beauty of this unforgettable North Sikkim journey. After a full-day excursion, proceed towards Lachung for an overnight stay.

Day – 4
DAY – 5

Lachung – Yumthang Valley – Zero Point (51km), 2 hour drive

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Yumthang Valley—the Valley of Flowers, located at an altitude of 11,800 ft. After exploring the colourful valley, continue your journey to Zero Point (Yumesamdong)- 15,300ft, where the road ends and snow begins—offering breathtaking views of the snow-covered Himalayas. Enjoy the serene beauty, click memorable photos, and soak in the crisp mountain air. Later, return to Gangtok for overnightstay.

DAY – 5
DAY – 6

Gangtok – Pelling via Namchi/Ravangla-140 km, 5 hour drive

After breakfast, drive towards Pelling. En route, enjoy a scenic journey through the South Sikkim region, visiting some of its most beautiful attractions. Stop at Namchi Chardham, a spiritual complex featuring replicas of India’s famous pilgrimage sites, followed by the serene Temi Tea Garden, the only tea estate in Sikkim known for its lush greenery and organic tea. Continue to the breathtaking Tarey Bhir Viewpoint, offering panoramic views of the Teesta River and valleys below. You can also visit Ravangla, a peaceful hill town famous for the towering Buddha Park.  Overnight stay in Pelling.

DAY – 6
DAY – 7

Pelling Full Day Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Pelling. Visit the famous Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Sikkim, followed by the majestic Rabdentse Ruins, the ancient capital of  Sikkim. Continue to the Sky Walk and Chenrezig Statue, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Later, explore the beautiful Rimbi Waterfalls, Khecheopalri Lake, and the scenic Kanchenjunga Waterfalls. Enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty and peaceful ambiance throughout the day.

DAY – 7
DAY – 8

Pellling to Bagdogra Airport/Njp Railway station 

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Bagdogra or NJP. The journey takes around 4 hours, so it’s best to start early. Keep an extra 2 hours in hand to reach on time for your flight or train and to avoid traffic delays.
